Volcom Fiji Pro Goes Great… Day 2
Round two day two. Kelly Slater lays it down and Josh Kerr grinds his way through a ruptured ankle. Kelly up against the second wild card and local heats winner xxx who could have taken the crown if he had pulled out of the deepest barrel attempt of the day. The swell is backing away but even so today brought peerless conditions. Julian Wilson poached a couple of beauties. But all the talk is about the swell that is coming. By the end of the week the conservative estimate is Cloudbreak at fifteen feet. Some say it’ll hit twenty plus. Whatever look out for some free surf a tow action off the Volcom camera’s which could be every bit as exciting as Code Red in Tahiti. Kelly has some boards coming in the seven to eight foot range and the kind of gun means big bad conditions… Oh Yessss Oh and massive congratulations for pulling off the technical feat of the year to bring us such stunning pictures from the middle of no where and keep the wheels on when things get difficult… Boo ya See HEATS ON DEMAND
